‘Unboxed’ an Art Exhibition

"Unboxed" is the name of the exhibition. It represents "unpacking" possibilities in the art world under the theme "Precious Things". Liz has invited fellow artists to "unbox" certain items and reassemble them into artworks with intrinsic value. She has gathered her artist friends, as well as local artists from Chiang Mai, to collaborate in crafting this special art exhibition.

Liz Hope

a long-time friend through teaching at the border and shared passion for art, has been a constant source of inspiration. Back in 2019, I invited Liz to help train border teachers on how to make English lessons more engaging. That meeting with the teachers became the starting point for this event.Over the years, Liz has tirelessly supported the foundation’s initiatives, organizing fundraising activities and encouraging people to donate. She even spearheaded various activities in her hometown in England. This journey has now led to this special event in Chiang Mai.Liz has invited artists from Thailand, Chiang Mai, and her hometown to contribute their works for this exhibition. The aim is to raise funds to support environmental initiatives and summer programs that teach computer skills, Thai, and English to children in the area. These activities will be carried out by the dedicated teachers Liz met during her earlier visit to Karen State. This event showcases the work of 18 artists, featuring over 40 pieces, including diverse painting techniques, photography, crafts, and poetry.
